I accept the rationale as stated in Shaver v. Mallinckrodt Canada ULC, 2021 BCSC 404 at para. 3, wherein Madam Justice Matthews said that a determination for an extension “…must be considered in the context of the other matters extant and pending…” In this case, the extant matter is the defendants' upcoming application.
