What is the impact of a collision between a car and a stationary vehicle?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Thibeault v. MacGregor, 2013 BCSC 808 (CanLII):

I accept that the collision was relatively minor. I accept the defendant’s evidence that his vehicle collided with the plaintiff’s stationary vehicle at a speed of approximately 10-15 kph. However, low impact collisions can cause injury: Lubick v. Mei, 2008 BCSC 555 at paras. 5-6. I accept the plaintiff’s evidence that she was injured as a result of the accident. Causation has been established by the plaintiff.
