What is the appropriate style of cause at trial and on appeal where two cases are heard at the same time together?

New Brunswick, Canada

The following excerpt is from Hopper v. Hopper et al., 2011 NBCA 37 (CanLII):

As noted earlier, where two actions are tried at the same time together “each action maintains its distinct identity and requires the entry of a separate judgment” (see Hogan v. Doiron). The same is required where there is an appeal of either or both judgments. In fact, the Hogan v. Doiron decision sets out the relevant forms for the appropriate style of cause at trial and on appeal where two or more cases are heard together.
