The extradition judge has a limited jurisdiction to grant Charter remedies. It extends only insofar as any Charter violation pertains directly to the circumscribed issues relevant at the committal stage of the extradition process: United States of America v. Cobb, 2001 SCC 19; and United States of America v. Kwok, 2001 SCC 18.
