In my view, Duncan v. Baddeley is authority for the proposition that an assessment of the estate claim must factor in the present value of future obligations which the deceased was likely to incur over the course of his working life.
In Duncan v. Baddeley, Kerans, J.A. dealt with the issue of the burden of proof required in order to establish that a deceased would have earned an income in the future.
