Defendant was not required to obtain a certificate of probable cause for that part of his appeal that is from his sentence or other matters that occurred after he entered a plea of no contest that do not affect the validity of his plea. (People v. Maultsby (2012) 53 Cal.4th 296, 299, fn. 2.) Defendant did not identify any concerns about these matters in his notice of appeal.
