7. A defendant who has pleaded guilty or no contest has no right to confront or cross-examine the victims or other witnesses at the restitution hearing, which is essentially a sentencing proceeding. (People v. Cain (2000) 82 Cal.App.4th 81, 85-87.) Here, neither the prosecutor nor the victims objected to cross-examination.
