What is the test for paying spousal support to a spouse who has little or no future prospects for employment?

Nova Scotia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Haggerty v. Haggerty, 2010 NSSC 9 (CanLII):

It is instructive to look to other cases where spousal support was ordered to be paid to a spouse who was disabled with little or no future prospects for employment. I was called upon to do so in Mumford v. Mumford, 2008 NSSC 82. My review of the law herein follows my analysis in that case. The factors set out in s. 15.2 of the Divorce Act supra must be a guide for decision makers.
