Does a parent who has 24-hour responsibility for the care of a young child have to support the child in the home during a custody dispute with his grandparents?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from Wylde v. Wylde, 1984 CanLII 91 (ON CJ):

[44] In intense struggles between mother and father over custody, it is logical that the custodial parent, who has 24-hour responsibility, must be supported in that care unless there is cogent reason for interfering and that principle applies even more so if it is grandparents who wish a disruption of custody. See Greber v. Moskowitz, supra.
