Can a percentage of the "hard costs" associated with child support be deducted from rental income for the purpose of calculating child support?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from Rodney v. Brown, 2019 ONCJ 841 (CanLII):

In some of the cases, the courts have allowed a percentage of the “hard costs” to be deducted from rental income for the purpose of calculating child support. See for example, Wilkinson v. Wilkinson, 2008 ONCJ 96.

However, as the court noted in Taillefer v. Taillefer, [2012] O.J. No. 5676, (at paragraph 29) the issue becomes somewhat more complicated when dealing with rental income from a personal residence.
