Hestbak, absent agreement of the parties as to different procedures, the default position for the court is to adjust child support obligations based on actual guideline incomes for the calendar year. That usually requires retroactive adjustments to the amount of the ongoing payments for the current calendar year, and for the payments made for the previous calendar year now that actual and not projected incomes for that year are known.
