Plaintiffs cannot state a cause of action for violation of the common law right to fair procedure based on the events alleged in their complaint. They have not alleged and indeed cannot allegethat their removal from office had any impact on their economic interests. (Potvin v. Metrtopolitan Life Ins. Co., supra, 22 Cal.4th at p. 1071 [an "insurer wishing to remove a doctor from one of its preferred provider lists must comply with the common law right to fair procedure" only when the removal will affect "an important, substantial economic interest"].)
