Defendants also challenge their convictions on the ground that there was insufficient evidence to support them. We may overturn the convictions on this basis only if, viewing the evidence in the light most favorable to the government, no "rational trier of fact" could have found that the government established the essential elements of the crimes beyond a reasonable doubt.
