In Campbell v. Swetland, 2012 BCSC 423, the plaintiff attempted to claim the interest on loans she alleged she had to take out in order to pay for living and other expenses as a result of not being able to work after a motor vehicle accident. The court rejected the claim for interest on the loans stating at paras. 94 and 95:
