When a police affidavit contains information that is erroneous and incomplete, can amplification be granted?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from R. v. Q.M.P. Fisheries Ltd., 2001 BCPC 210 (CanLII):

When information placed before the authorizing justice is erroneous despite good faith on the part of the affiant, amplification before the reviewing judge may correct the information. Regina v. Araujo, supra. Amplification should not be refused where the police had the requisite reasonable and probable grounds but had, in good faith, made some minor, technical error in drafting their affidavit material. This would put form above substance. Regina v. Araujo, supra.
