[1] The appellant was found guilty by a jury of aggravated assault, weapons dangerous and assault with a weapon. Grossi J. entered a conviction on the aggravated assault charge and stayed the latter two charges pursuant to Kienapple v. R. (1974), 1974 CanLII 14 (SCC), 15 C.C.C. (2d) 524 (S.C.C.).
