The following excerpt is from People v. Davis, 2016 N.Y. Slip Op. 07818, 28 N.Y.3d 294, 44 N.Y.S.3d 358, 66 N.E.3d 1076 (N.Y. 2016):
The primary issue in this appeal is whether legally sufficient evidence supported defendant's felony murder convictions. We therefore view "the facts in a light most favorable to the People" to determine whether " there is a valid line of reasoning and permissible inferences from which a rational jury could have found the elements of the crime proved beyond a reasonable doubt " (People v. Danielson, 9 N.Y.3d 342, 349, 849 N.Y.S.2d 480, 880 N.E.2d 1 [2007] [citations omitted] ).
We agree with the People that the evidence at trial was sufficient to support defendant's convictions.
