When interpreting a statute, our task is to ascertain the intent of the enacting legislative body and honor that intent. (Aleman v. Airtouch Cellular (2012) 209 Cal.App.4th 556, 568.) We begin by examining the statutory language and give the words their ordinary and usual meaning. If the language is clear, we apply the clear meaning without further inquiry. (Ibid.)
