The plaintiff would have to adduce evidence as to the fair value of the shares in the first instance. The defendant then would have an opportunity to adduce evidence as to the fair value of the shares. The court is empowered to appoint one or more appraisers to assist it in fixing the fair value of the shares (s. 184(1) (22)). See: Denischuk v.
