The following excerpt is from The People v. Chavez, No. 1297162, No. B219802 (Cal. App. 2010):
Appellant contends the court abused its discretion in requiring him to submit to the search and seizure of his person or property as a condition of his probation. In overruling appellant's objection to the condition, the trial court reasoned that it was "standard" for defendants placed on probation. Appellant complains that the court failed to "narrowly structure" the condition to his particular case, and claims it is invalid under the three-part standard enunciated in People v. Lent (1975) 15 Cal.3d 481. We agree with the court's conclusion and reasoning.
