An administrative disciplinary hearing was held pursuant to Shelly v. State Personnel Bd. (1975) 15 Cal.3d 194. The hearing committee recommended that appellant be discharged, reasoning that his job enforcing parking laws was a high profile position in the public eye, requiring good judgment and integrity. The committee also noted that appellant had received other disciplinary actions during his 20-year career, including one 5-day suspension and one 15-day suspension. Appellant was discharged.
