6. Code of Civil Procedure section 352, subdivision (a), provides that the applicable statute of limitations is tolled if a cause of action accrues when the person entitled to bring the action is "insane," defined as "'incapable of caring for his [or her] property or transacting business or understanding the nature or effects of his [or her] acts . . . .'" (Alcott Rehabilitation Hospital v. Superior Court (2001) 93 Cal.App.4th 94, 101.)
