How have courts dealt with sexual harassment allegations in the context of sexual assault cases?

Alberta, Canada

The following excerpt is from Landry v Vegreville Autobody (1993) Ltd., 2017 AHRC 19 (CanLII):

Turning to the present case, I find that the respondent’s conduct, while inexcusable, was not as serious or prolonged as that suffered by some of the other complainants referenced. For example, in Morrison v. Motsewetsho,[29] the respondent’s unwanted sexual advances towards the complainants were relentless and predatory. In Bouraoui, supra, the language used by the respondent was vulgar and shocking. In Chieriro, supra, the respondent’s conduct was exploitive, mean spirited, threatening and carried on over a period of 15 months.
