The plaintiffs submit that therefore torts occur where they substantially affect people, that harm is a significant consideration, and that in determining jurisdiction a tort may have more than one place of occurrence. The plaintiffs submit there is jurisdiction over the tort where the damage occurs, referring to Furlan v. Shell Oil Co., 2000 BCCA 404 at paras. 21, 77.
