Is a plaintiff entitled to a claim for past wage loss?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Hajikolai v. Lewis, 2015 BCSC 980 (CanLII):

Because the plaintiff has no recent employment history, and was not employed at the time of the accident, his claim for past wage loss is, analytically, akin to his claim for loss of future earning capacity: Kumar v. Elpidio, 2013 BCSC 236 at para. 41. For this reason, I will consider these two claims together.
