In determining the length of notice which is appropriate in these circumstances, I have considered the criteria set forth in Smith v. Tamblyn (Alta.) Ltd., supra. In addition, the plaintiff has been unable to obtain comparable alternate employment as at the date of trial. It has been agreed that his efforts to obtain such employment were reasonable. I am of the view that 15 months is the appropriate length of notice to which the plaintiff is entitled.
