Even with domestic animals it has been held that a representation that a cow was “due to calve” on a certain date does not amount to a warranty that the cow was “in calf” but merely that the cow had been bred to a bull at a time from which it was expected the cow would calve at the time specified: Wilson v. Shaver (1912) 27 O.L.R. 218, 2 Can. Abr. 627.
