In Hildebrand v. Milne, a 1996 case, the plaintiff was awarded twelve thousand five hundred dollars for a torn medial collateral ligament in his elbow, which continued to cause him weakness and pain to the time of trial.
In Blais v. Heppel a 1996 decision, the plaintiff was awarded fifteen thousand dollars for lacerations to his face and jaw and injury to his teeth suffered in an assault.
