How has the court interpreted the Guidelines for Child Support Guidelines in a family law case?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from Deslauriers v Pommainville, 2017 ONSC 3162 (CanLII):

In Watson v. Watson [2017] O.J. No. 686, Justice Sherr found that the father had not met his onus to show that the amount of support determined under section 3 of the Guidelines was inappropriate. He found that the father enjoyed a much better lifestyle than the mother and awarded the table amount to provide the children with a more comparable standard of living with the children when with the mother.
