The aforesaid expressed test still retains the element of reasonableness. A position favourable to the employee was enunciated in the decision in Munana v. MacMillan Bloedel Ltd., [1977] 2 A.C.W.S. 364 (B.C.S.C.), which emphasized the fact that the industry’s business was generally suffering from a period of recession and this thereby enhanced the period of notice.
