In the doctor-patient relationship, the doctor must disclose to a patient all material risks of procedures or treatments diagnosed. The doctor must also disclose known treatment alternatives that others in the same speciality recommend as superior treatment alternatives: Seney v. Crooks, 1998 ABCA 316, 223 A.R. 145.
