In Madadi at para. 35, the court confirmed the continued applicability of the factors the court ought to consider on a pleadings amendment application, as set out in Letvad v. Fenwick, 2000 BCCA 630, namely: a) the extent of the delay in seeking to add the parties; b) the reasons for the delay; c) any explanation to account for the delay; d) the degree of prejudice caused by the delay; and e) the extent of the connection, if any, between the existing claims and the proposed parties or claims.
