In deciding whether a person has assumed the role of a parent, a court must consider all aspects of the child's relationship with the adult, including financial provision, social interaction, and the adult’s role in discipline and education: Chartier v. Chartier, 1999 CanLII 707 (SCC), 43 R.F.L. (4th) 1, 235 N.R. 1, 168 D.L.R. (4th) 540. To the extent that the evidence of the parties and their witnesses conflicted, on the basis of credibility, I accept the evidence of the Applicant, her witnesses and the section 112 investigator that the Applicant stood in the place of a parent in relation to Devon
