As to the applicant's position that he has suffered a material change connected with his desire to retire, in my view this is not a proper basis for the applicant's request for an order terminating spousal support. The evidence is clear that the applicant has not retired nor has he even set a retirement date. In my view no material change has arisen relating to the applicant's possible retirement. Any consideration of this ground for the applicant's request at this time is speculative: Szczerbaniwicz v. Szczerbaniwicz 2010 CarswellBC 759.
