A child is not required to exhaust all other potential sources of financial assistance, including student loans, before she can be found to be unable to withdraw from her parents’ charge. The availability of student loans is merely one factor among many to be considered. See Neufeld v. Neufeld at paras. 23 and 24. Where a parent has the means to assist a child with educational expenses, the child should not be required to incur large amounts of debt through student loans, if that can be avoided.
