In Stewart v. Stewart, the higher earning payor parent was the sole income earner in his household. The recipient parent shared expenses with a new partner who also contributed significantly to the household income. These were factors tending to lower the higher income earning payor’s obligation and factors tending toward payment of a set-off amount. So too, was the recipient mother’s decision to have another child, and with that, lower her income.
