Scott, 2007 BCSC 234, in which spousal support was awarded to a 53-year old wife after a long marriage where the reapportionment of the modest family assets could not maintain the parties’ marital standard of living for both and the wife had no prospect of earning the same income as the husband from the combined income from her share of the family assets and employment during her remaining working years.
