In a recent decision of R v. Segoviano, decided by Mr. Justice Rideout May 28th, 2007, Mr. Justice Rideout sentenced the accused to six years. In that case, the original charge was attempted murder. The accused went to trial by judge and jury and they were found guilty of aggravated assault.
