1897: Russell v. Russell, supra. A false charge made by the wife against the husband of having committed an unnatural criminal offence, although published to the world and persisted in after she did not believe in its truth, was held insufficient evidence of legal cruelty which would entitle the husband to judicial separation. It was not contended that the husband’s health had been affected, or considered that it was menaced.
