The “new” Queen’s Bench Rules came into force on July 1, 2013. With the new rules, there came a variety of changes, ranging from minor enhancements to significant changes. There is little doubt that the new rules for summary judgment applications are at the latter end of this range, reflecting what Popescul C.J.Q.B. recently described as a “complete overhaul” (See Pervez v. Caskey, 2013 SKQB 377, [2013] 12 W.W.R. 794).
