The plaintiff in Perez v. Vancouver, 2002 BCSC 1733, broke her left wrist in a painful fall. She was right handed. She suffered other less serious injuries as well to her ankle and elbow and hit her head. She was transported to hospital by ambulance where her hand was placed in a splint and she spent a sleepless night in pain.
