What is the test for damages for loss of capacity to complete homemaking tasks?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from Partridge v Buskop, 2019 BCSC 459 (CanLII):

As noted in O’Connell, damages for loss of capacity to complete homemaking tasks are not dependent upon whether replacement costs are actually incurred because what is being compensated is the loss of capacity itself. I should also note that in granting this award, I have also considered that such awards should be made conservatively and with caution: O’Connell at paras. 59 to 68, and Westbroek v. Brizuela, 2014 BCCA 48 at paras. 74 to 78.
