A party’s choice of expert should be respected unless a party objecting to the choice of expert meets the burden of showing that the party’s chosen expert is unreasonable (see Saccary v. Vonhammerstein, 2018 NSSC 135 at paras. 11, 13 and 15 and Howatt v. Chandler, 2016 NSSC 216 at para. 12).
