How has the court assessed damages in the absence of a replacement housekeeping?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from McGonigle v Parada, 2018 BCSC 1017 (CanLII):

In McTavish v. MacGillivray, 2000 BCCA 164, the court approached the assessment of damages in this category by a reference to the cost of replacement housekeeping services. In this case, the defendant submits the evidence does not support an award of any kind. He says that the plaintiff has not testified that she has required housekeeping assistance in the past or that she will need it in the future.
