The parties agree matrimonial assets and debt should be equally divided. As stated, they disagree on what the matrimonial assets and debts are. Justice Legere Sers in Cogswell v. Wright, 2014 NSSC 173 provides a helpful discussion of how debts are classified as matrimonial or non matrimonial beginning at paragraph 94. She commented further on the classification of other debts as matrimonial or personal beginning at paragraph 209.
