In People v. Speaks, supra, 120 Cal.App.3d at page 37, defendant was charged with receiving stolen property after his co-workers found money that had been stolen from their employer in a plastic bag in his car trunk. Defendant testified he had not used the plastic bag in months, did not know the money had been stolen, and denied knowing that it was in the bag in the trunk of his car. (Id. at p. 38.)
