In their fourth cause of action, for declaratory relief, plaintiffs plead that an actual controversy exists in that they contend defendants had no right to foreclose their home and that defendants had failed to perfect a security interest and therefore had no power of sale. To maintain a cause of action for declaratory relief, plaintiffs must allege an actual controversy. (City of Cotati v. Cashman (2002) 29 Cal.4th 69, 79.)
