In Hubley v. Harrison, supra, the facts are similar to the case at bar. In that case as of May 25, 1976 the plaintiff had accepted a teaching position which started September 1, 1976. The court held it was not incumbent upon the plaintiff to do menial labour in the interim and that accepting a job with a subsequent start date did not amount to a failure to mitigate.
