How have the courts dealt with claims of prejudicial bias in a personal injury case?

California, United States of America

The following excerpt is from Lopez v. Alroudhan, B265996 (Cal. App. 2017):

Appellant argues that the trial court exhibited bias during trial in several ways, thus she is entitled to "'the privilege of a trial before some other judge.'" (Keating v. Superior Court of San Francisco (1955) 45 Cal.2d 440, 443-445.) We address each of appellant's contentions separately, and conclude that they do not amount to prejudicial bias.8
