What are the elements for general damages for time loss in a personal injury case?

Saskatchewan, Canada

The following excerpt is from Trache v. Canadian Northern Railway Company, 1928 CanLII 154 (SK CA):

The two elements which go to make up general damages for pecuniary loss in cases like this, are, therefore, loss of time and loss of earning power. The former includes only such loss of time as has occurred up to the date of trial, while subsequent loss of time is to be included in a recovery for diminished earning power. Morgan v. Edmonton [1917] 2 W.W.R. 591.
